    Design Questions:

• What is the design process?

Interior design projects are divided into three phases.

The schematic phase determines project objectives, budget considerations, and development of preliminary concepts, finishes, colors, and material selections. The designs will be presented to the clients for approval or changes.

The design phase finalizes drawings and finishes to submit to a contractor or vendor. This may include but is not limited to furniture plans and specification, flooring plans, lighting plans, ceiling plans, electrical plans, elevations, sections, drawings of window treatments and other custom features. Final selection of fabrics, accessories, and other necessary materials to complete the approved design are also part of the design phase.

The construction/installation phase is the final phase of your project. The designer will assist or purchase furnishings and other interior goods. The designer may assist in coordinating the schedule for delivery, expediting, and installation of work or goods. The designer may communicate with contractors to answer questions or solve issues.
